 War is an act of violence that is intended to compel the opponent to fulfill their political motives and morality. War is characterized by destruction. Carl von Clausewitz, a war theorist, stated that war is a natural part of human life. In its ideal form, war arises due to numerous variables, technological, psychic, social, and other timeless elements, including political impact, human intelligence, will, and emotions. The motives that lead towards war are instinctive hostility and hostile intention. In terms of absolute war, force is necessary; war disarms the enemy and uses exertion of powers. War occurs due to sociocultural differences and similarities, significant change in the balance of powers, individual perceptions and expectations, and a will to conflict. Doctrinal war involves understanding humanity, avoiding ethnic discrimination, knowledge and information warfare, countering knowledge and observation about action, and maintaining morale—judicious exploitation of the workforce, flexibility, and cooperation among the states.

Conflict is a dispute in a situation defined by the parties underlying goals, beliefs, mutual perception, and communication. Conflict is a process of communication, expressing passions and ideas. In achieving a new structure of expectations, conflict integrates underlying goals and mutual perceptions to reduce antagonism and helps to find facts. The procedure of fact-finding is essential to resolve conflict and clarify the conflict situation.

The objective of modernizing the principles of war is to develop rethinking warfighting fundamentals such as adaptability, the changing concepts of national security, and parameters of the battlespace. States, regional, national and international organizations use investigative reporting, analysis, and decision-making mechanisms to enhance compliance with international humanitarian law. Improve compliance and accountability. Civil society and other global leaders should have greater compliance with international humanitarian and human rights laws.

  • Ethnic conflicts

Ethnic conflicts are accompanied by gross human rights violations, such as genocide and crimes against humanity, economic decline, state and infrastructure failure, environmental problems, and refugee flows. Violent ethnic conflict leads to tremendous human suffering. To reduce ethnic and communal identity, the experts have suggested understanding the theories of ethnic identity. The approach helps to define individual self-identification. Mobilizing ethnic identity and ethnic nationalism will help deal with social and political systems that lead to inequality and control other ethnic conflicts including genocide, and mass rape.

Communal morality talks about the overall cultural assumptions, beliefs, and practices. It involves essential elements of life in a community such as economic equality, the fair and just treatment of all persons, and ensuring that nobody is abused or denied human dignity.

War can strengthen an economy by providing jobs. The war allows weapons and ammo manufacturing; consequently, in times of conflict, more people buy weapons which boosts the economy.

  • Technological advancement

War with different states helps nations to develop better technology than their opponents. It includes better equipment and progress in aviation technology.

  • Judicious exploitation of the workforce

War improves labor mobility that allows workers to improve their financial situations.  Workers move locations to seek job opportunities that have a positive impact on productivity. As labor mobility improves, simultaneously, businesses and economies get developed.
