Frank Panopoulos has worked on Peace and Social Justice issues since 1979. During the 1980s he lived in the Corjesu Community, a lay Catholic community engaged in the works of mercy in Upper Manhattan and affiliated with the Catholic campus ministry at Columbia University. Frank has spent time in prison for acts of non-violent civil disobedience, including two Plowshares Actions in the 1980s (AVCO and Trident II).

This year is shaping up like last for the imperiled religious minorities of South Asia.  Approximately 1,000 Christians belonging to Adivasi tribal communities from the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh have fled their homes following a spate of violent attacks. The timing, right before Christmas, was no coincidence.
